MSFW 2008 launch party

In the nouveau riche surroundings that is Silk Road, and watched over by some suspect Caravaggio interpretations, Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MSFW) 2008 launched this evening.

Attracting what can be best described as Melbourne's usual suspects, from yours truly through to the likes of Richard Nylon and Gwendolynne Burkin, Melbourne's fashion scene descended en masse to glimpse a preview of what's in store for us over the coming week.

Undoubtedly though, all eyes and lenses rested solely upon the models; from the likes of Sally Graham, the week's face, to Yasmine Staub; upon whom so much of the week shall rest. They spent the evening's parade in Spring wares from the likes of Etro through to Maus Cat Berlin, while Spring-infused floral arrangements, from Flower Temple, adorned their hair. Parade done however, they joined the rest of us for champagne and prawn dumplings; the sort of Asian infused cuisine which Silk Road has become synonymous with.

During the week be sure to keep your eyes upon Fashionising.com's Melbourne Spring Fashion Week coverage including insider details of our High Fashion, High Tea fashion-fusion event.

Blog Post Written By Daniel P Dykes
Traditionalist and futurist are two of the labels applied to Daniel, but he's in on the joke. When it comes to fashion he's a futurist, keeping a look out for new trends and designers, and using Fashionising.com as a driving force for change in the fashion world. He's a traditionalist with most everything else, but that's the Brit in him. He says: Boots for men are severely underrated. We say: It's easy to say that when you're part of the polo set.
